Announcing the Digital Workplace Awards Finalists

The anticipation is over!  After an extensive judging process, we are super excited to reveal the trailblazers who have significantly impacted the landscape of digital transformation.

CATEGORY ONE: MOST IMPACTFUL DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION

This award is about ground-breaking digital solutions that have shaken up the establishment and/ or organisation-level adoption of technologies.

Finalists are:

Hornsby Shire Council

Project: Digitization of Paper Forms. This project is still underway, however more than half of the 300 original paper-based forms are now digital. It is delivering a significant boost to customer service from Council to the public. They are most proud of shifting from a technology laggard to an early adopter, fostering ongoing improvement.


Department of Health and Aged Care

Project: Government Provider Management System (GPMS). This project is about building a seamless experience for providers and government to share information and meet reporting requirements and reducing the admin burden so providers can do what they do best: provide quality care to older people in Australia. They are most proud of the enablement of once-in-a-generation reform for Australia’s aged care sector


CXC

Project: An initiative aimed at creating a digital workspace and migrating data to a cloud-based SharePoint Online environment.  Over six months, the team undertook a comprehensive transformation involving both the design and implementation of a new digital workplace and the migration from an on-premise legacy systems. They are most proud of how it has improved our operational capabilities, and reinforced our commitment to fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

CATEGORY TWO:
DIGITAL WORKPLACE SUPERSTAR

We love shining the spotlight on champions of change – the people who really drive digital transformation in an organisation. Congratulations to these Superstars!

Finalists are:

Samantha Rimmer

Manager Admissions at Methodist Ladies College “Exemplary Change Catalyst

Sam’s collaborated across departments to secure early support and devised a target operating model to enhance customer engagement. Additionally, she encouraged senior leaders to make decisive choices, resulting in positive changes that improved efficiency and data collection for informed decision-making


Leonie Challacombe

Principal Advisor (Digital Culture) “Unwavering commitment to driving transformation”

By guiding individuals and teams in embracing the benefits of Microsoft 365 (M365), Leonie has fostered a culture of collaboration and modern work practices. Leonie’s advocacy for digital wellbeing and her persistence in promoting modern ways of working have significantly contributed to TMR’s success.


Jemma Hirst

Head of IT Training “Significantly Boosted Digital Skills”

As the Head of Tech Training, she led the AI education program to ensure technical accuracy and hosted six conference sessions covering various aspect of AI, fostering a culture of continuous learning and digital innovation.

CATEGORY THREE:
MAESTRO

Consulting companies also deserve recognition. These individuals or teams have made significant contributions in transforming the modern workplace for their clients.

Finalists are:

Project: Transformative Process Improvement Project. The implementation of the eCabinet system by Engage Squared at Tas DPaC has significantly enhanced operational efficiency and transparency.


Project: Outstanding Intranet Project. The project involved employee research, intranet strategy, SharePoint Online design, project management support, and post-implementation review. Additionally, the team developed detailed “day-in-the-life” scenarios for frontline staff, extending beyond standard personas and proving valuable in various digital workplace initiatives.


Sharon Connolly – Change Superhero

Project: Community Contribution. Increasing confidence, removing frustration and boosting productivity, with simple actionable advice. Growing confidence with technology by using it as a tool to fix problems.

CATEGORY FOUR:
MOST GAME-CHANGING VENDOR

These are participating exhibitors of the event who will showcase a product or solution that demonstrates digital transformation.  The finalists will be under pressure to wow us (in only 5 minutes!) with their innovation – votes will be taken from conference attendees to arrive at a winner.

THE GRAND FINALE: AWARDS DINNER AT THE DIGITAL WORKPLACE CONFERENCE 31st July

Finalists await their moment of recognition at the Digital Workplace Awards Dinner, a night of celebration and networking.

The dinner serves as a platform to honour the time, effort and commitment navigating digital transformation complexities. More than acknowledgment, it’s a celebration of collective efforts from companies, consultants, teams, projects and individuals.

The Awards Evening is included in your Digital Workplace Conference ticket, or you can purchase a separate ticket to the evening (dinner and drinks included limited).
